Rev. Dr. Robert Kenji Flowers, Minister
Robert came to Polytechnic UMC in June 2008. Prior to this appointment, he served for seven years as Campus Minister at the Wesley Foundation at Baylor. He has also served as associate pastor in several other churches in the Central Texas Conference where he is an Ordained Elder. Robert is a native Texan (though it took him several years to admit that!) but did not grow up in the state. He returned to Texas to attend graduate school and calls Fort Worth home. He earned a B.S. in Education from Troy State University, an MDiv from a Baptist seminary (before a coup d'etat by fundamentalists), an MDiv from SMU-Perkins School of Theology, and a DMin from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Austin, Texas. Robert's interests are sports, cooking, reading, spending time w/ friends, and good movies.
